The game’s aesthetic is rooted in a retro-futuristic vibe, blending elements of a dusty, aged, and slightly forgotten world with a futuristic space theme. Below is the topology breakdown of the character, highlighting the modeling and texturing process. The character was initially sculpted in ZBrush and then retopologized in Maya. Texturing and baking were completed in Substance Painter. The hands were created separately at the beginning of the project, as they were required to be done first.
Latest Project: Odyssey VR
In my most recent project, I collaborated with a team of artists, focusing on character and environmental design. I led the creation and texturing of the game's main character and contributed to the environmental design team by crafting and texturing various props.
The weapons console in the top right was modeled and textured by me using Maya and Substance Painter. I also handled the texturing for the cryopod and specimen tank. Additionally, the fuel cell in the bottom right was modeled by me.
Current Project: Valorant Style Character
Project: Arcane Reclamation
This project was a collaboration between classmates to make a first person shooter based game. For this project, I was in charge of character art. The game is a movement based, dark fantasy game.
The text art here was done by me in photoshop
This cloaked enemy character was made in Zbrush and textured in substance painter.
I modeled and textured these hands with Maya and Photoshop
Leaf Nymph Girl
This simple character was made with Maya and rendered in Arnold. The character was inspired by plants and fairies. This character demonstrates my skills in creating an interesting character with simple geometry and a low poly count.
Mel’s Diner
This environment was done in Maya and rendered in Arnold. I was inspired to create an old fashioned diner with a futuristic twist. I had so much fun creating and tweaking all the neon lights. My favorite part of this scene is the car couch that I created.
Animation
This 6 second animation illustrates a character changing their emotions. This animation was done in Maya.
